NeXT - Kanata

Honestly, we held a party at this restaurant last year and the food and service were excellent. However, this year, the food was disappointing. The duck salad lacked flavor and was dry, while the beef entree was also dry. Some appetizers were good, but the rice rolls were small and served without sauce, making it feel like plain vermicelli. I was quite disappointed and unsure if there was a change in the chef or an attempt to cut costs. Last year, my gluten-free friend was provided with a plate of gluten-free appetizers, but this year the server said they would only bring out whatever was gluten-free, which turned out to be cauliflower in wing sauce.

We had a fantastic experience last night celebrating our girl's birthday dinner! The food, drinks, and service from Chef Blackie were outstanding. Thank you for a wonderful evening and meal! Cheers!

We celebrated my birthday at this restaurant last month and our experience was flawless from beginning to end. Our server, Alex, was quick and attentive. Our main dishes were delicious and we enjoyed the unique twists on some of the cocktails. I never would have thought that sake would work well in a Caesar cocktail! However, the tartare was definitely the highlight of the meal for me - it was the best I've had in years! Thank you for a wonderful evening, we are looking forward to returning. Cheers!

13 of us were at a Sunday brunch function at NEXT yesterday and it was wonderful!!!!! Food , service, atmosphere, everything was five star. Our compliments to the chef and staff , you made our birthday celebration Xtra special.!!!!!!!

We have been to NeXT a few times. We really enjoy going there for a double date without the kids. Everything we go We have a wonderful time. The servers are very friendly and helpful. The food is absolutely spectacular. Even if the menu seems out of your comfort range, I would strongly suggest trying the sharing option. The food is very approachable. The flavors are not so exotic that you need an incredibly refined palate to enjoy them. This is easily one of our favorite places to go for our adult night night.
