The frozen drinks lubricated as if they were using cheap mixers and the garlic bread was blazing, but the Pupu cellar was very delicious. Most older people were happy and appreciate the friendly room to listen to great music. We also lost a little bit to find Honey's at the conference center/golf resort. I think Honey has a separate parking lot from the main parking lot, but we couldn't find him.
The hotel is located on the ground floor of the Ko'olau golf course and banquet halls. Spacious dining area able to accommodate large parties easily. Beautiful background for image recording. Open seating is available. Immaculate bathroom
Serenaders group plays music here, think once or twice a month. Two in the group have women iny hālau, Hālau nā Mamo o Pu 'uanahulu. On 1/4/2019 a few Hula sisters met to party and hula. Pupus, too.
We like going to Honey's. The food is good but on this particular night they seemed to be understaffed and our food took a long time to get to us. We waited a long time to even get a glass of water or a bottle of beer. The entertainment was exceptionally great. All in all we had a good experience. The waitresses were working hard ....they just needed more help.
Let me first say that I love Slack Key Guitar. When I found that one of my favorite artists was playing it became a must visit. The venue is wonderful. There are views of the towering cliffs and the grounds. The food is excellent and top notch. Service is friendly and on top of your needs. There are locals as well as visitors eating enjoying the music. By the time you leave you’ll feel like family. If driving from the Waikiki side stop at the overlook.
