Smiling Buffalo Cafe - Kangar

I love it! Personally, I feel this restaurant could be better, our food came with good portion. It 's definitely a good breakfast spot with greenery, and I have read a few reviews regarding the flies. There are some flies that are quite normal with the surrounding area, but we passed that. The only thing that bothers me is our waiter didn 't ask if we liked our pancake to be served a bit later, as we ordered quite a few dishes, so when the food all out at the same time, our pancakes already cold plus with the caramelised banana, I think the flies might have a feast. They should do something bout it. Other than that, my sister scramble egg came with a full and complete mosquito when she almost finished her meal, that 's not something I can pass, we showed the waiter, and responses jokingly 'just don 't think about it ' after we mentioned we almost finished and the last two bites had mosquito in it, and it 's hugeeee. We paid no bill or discount deductible, we don 't want to make a fuss bout it and spoil our vacation mood. Please look after your customers, the way you greet and treated your regulars (as I noticed the way the waiter greeted the other table seems related like a family member) We all deserve the same service. We closed the bill about RM118 for two people, which is okay. Will return? Nahh, there are so many places to discover and treasure.

I love the setup here the seating area is spread out over a small compound, creating nice spaces for small groups. The food is good, but what really won me over was the atmosphere. I came at 4pm, but if I had come earlier I would have had the pancakes/waffles/coffee. I wish the chicken rendang was boneless for convenience's sake, but it was still solid. If I come back, I'll try breakfast!

Huge instagrammable cafe, 15 20 minutes ride away from Pentai Cenang beach and Langkawi airport. We decided to have breakfast here on our last day in Langkawi before heading to the airport. We got seating outside and I was worried we would have to sit in the heat, but there are several fans around and it was quite cool eventually. Service is a bit slow, but friendly. This is a halal cafe. We ordered the following : 1) Eggs Bennedict Soft delightfully poached eggs with decadent Hollandaise sauce. Served with beef bacon and wholemeal toast. 2) Smoked Salmon Smoked salmon is always a good idea. This is served with scrambled eggs, hashbrowns and wholemeal bread. 3) Mocha Good cuppa' mocha. 4) Hot chocolate Soothing cup of hot chocolate (even though the weather was blazing hot)

A very good morning welcome from a friendly staff at Smiling Buffalo. We had a nice breakfast here before we start our day. Food here is delicious, and is standard, the atmosphere is great and chill, is kind of Malay authentic shop outlook, they serve nice breakfast with option. Service is good, staff even approach us to check what is our plan of the day, and they do suggest us few, we feel appreciate, that is really cool. Beside there is also small Malay houses hotel for rent, with small pool available.

Went for lunch. Normal cafe food at normal cafe prices. Had the banana pancake, seafood soup and buffalo wings. Nice atmosphere with lush greens all around but BEWARE OF FLIES. would have been a better experience if not for the many flies crowding our area, spent most of my lunchtime swatting them away
