Billie's Grocery - Kansas City

The restaurant is very cozy and the service is excellent. However, upon arriving, I was disappointed to find out that they were out of mocha coffee (surprisingly, they didn't have chocolate either). I then attempted to order a strawberry frozen, but they were also out of that. I settled for a strawberry lemonade, only to find out they were out of that as well! It was surprising to see that on a Sunday, they were missing three basic items from their menu. To make matters worse, when my order finally arrived, it was incorrect, and I had to wait an additional 25 minutes for them to bring the right dish.

Such a cute place, food and baked goods are so delicious! I had gotten the smoked salmon bagel! Full of flavor! Also recommend their bowls! Also love their iced matchas here! Service is great! Would definitely recommend for breakfast lunch spot. But they do get super busy around lunch time!

After hearing about Billie's Grocery in KCMO from friends, we were thrilled when they opened a second location. Unsure of what to expect, we were surprised to find it nestled in Ranchmart. The restaurant exudes a big city metro vibe in the suburbs and offers a fun atmosphere with top-notch food choices. While it may not be budget-friendly, the experience is definitely worth the visit. We would definitely come back again.

Ok, no reservations and order and pay in advance at the counter signal, a no way am I interested reaction. Glad I ignored my instincts. Stalking a table was doable in the large industrial space, service to the table quick and pleasant. Oh and the food, I had a crab scramble, a Benedict-like dish filled with crab and silky eggs with perfectly roasted potatoes. And who could leave w/o something from the bakery...a cranberry orange sugar cookies for me. (Lots of gluten free stuff, too.

Wow! As you enter the establishment it’s very impressive. It’s bright and airy with a lot of space and a very nice patio. Wait staff is all very pleasant and the dining room is pretty clean.My husband had the brekkie and said it was wonderful he’s had it on two separate occasions). I had the chicken and waffles and they were not good at all?. The chicken was nice and hot but the breading was so hard and crunchy and completely void of flavor. The waffles were cold! The whipped butter didn’t melt at all. I’m not a coffee snob, but the coffee was sour? It may have been the cream but I didn’t try any more. My meal was disappointing. If I stop here again I’ll just stick with some pastry. The cookies were delicious.
