City Diner - Kansas City

My very first time at this diner and omg.. absolutely delicious. The restaurant isn't very big and neither is the parking lot. It's definitely a hole in the wall kind of restaurant. The place is a gem, not super crowded but definitely under rated. Our waitress was very nice and service was quick the onion rings and french fries were incredible. Will definitely be coming back.

I'm not from KC but this place seemed to be one of the historic locations in the market area. They were busy the day we visited and the wait to be seated was about 20 minutes. The service was outstanding. The food was ok, but not outstanding. I had biscuits and gravy and my wife had pancakes that we shared. The pancakes didn't have much flavor. The biscuits and gravy were ok, just not much flavor either. The price was reasonable.

Philly cheese steak and #1 breakfast was great. Wished there was one in Minnesota.

I took a friend to eat there during the snowstorm. we both had burgers with tweebel rings. the price was reasonable and that was delicious. my waitress was very nice and had a great positive attitude. what I really like is that the light rail guides you right there!

Great food, everything we had was top notch. The biscuits wouldn't be great standalone (to my preference, not rich enough) but are perfect for biscuits and gravy. Both types of sausage are delicious and the bacon was solid as well. Gravy was awesome as were the home fries. We'll be back!
