There is a quaint KC tradition of stopping by Gates on your way to a Royals game. I think that is an appropriate pairing. Gates batting well below 250 and almost everybody else is better. From the screaming order-takers to the lousy, fat-laden meat, Gates just doesn 't offer a BBQ lover anything worth stopping for. Zarda 's is just as bad BBQ, but the ordering process is sane and the meat is lean. Hi, may I help you? Yes, stop calling yourself a BBQ joint.

Was an amazing first time experience. The service by 2 ladies was amazing as well, very kind and helpful. I believe one worker was new, so ordering some of the stuff was a little difficult, and the charge was done incorrectly. But once everything got squared away we really enjoyed our meal. We got the mixed plate and it is totally worth it, definitely sharing size! Not picture but the double deuce is also a really good deal. Ribs were soft, meat came right off the bone ???? also the sauce!!! I asked for the spicy and it was delicious!
