Gruenauer - Kansas City

As usual. Great German food. Service was also great. It is our way to place when in KC.

I love this place. Mrs and I have tried for the first time for our 1st anniversary and will continue to return for our celebrations

We decided to give this German/Austrian restaurant a shot. Our server was thrilled. I would just add that it seemed she was not as familiar with the menu items taste as we would have liked. While the appetizer, a ham and roasted cabbage, was different and good, the price point was steep for what was received. We both enjoyed the entrees snitzle and goulash. I had a moment to appreciate the taste of the goulash, but in the end it was a very good product. We were fully satisfied with the experience. But not sure we would return.

Another outstanding night at Grunauer! The bar staff is incredibly knowledgeable about the beers and the history for each one. They’re extremely friendly and willing to answer any questions about some great beers! Then the food comes and it’s just delicious! We had the Friday special and Hungarian style goulash. It was absolutely amazing! Words can’t describe how good it tastes. Then our server Anthony, who was a great one and a lot of fun, recommended we go with the bread pudding instead of my usual apple strudel for dessert. I hate him now because I have 2 favorite desserts! The people and food at Grunauer keep us coming back! Go try it and I’m sure you’ll be coming back multiple times. The owners, who are super cool, have a great place and worthy of a visit!
