Well, first out of the place is out in the hiding place, so we had hard time to find it after the rotation where big shield from n. oak. Order from outside and person who took our order did not turn on and left. So we had to get the pizza 35 minutes after the first order. They gave us a discount for the waiting period. It was worth waiting....no. I had better frozen pizza not enough cheese or other toppings. Still looking for this perfect pizza in the north. You don't have a yeast taste on crust long. The only place I found is the original pizza in blue sources that they use to be in the subway north... Place could teach how to make pizza from them. Too bad there's no place here anymore. Still looking.....
Have loved taking the family for years to Ikey's pizza. We love the cheese pizza and the calzone, it's our way for which we drive when we look for pizza. The last one we went about 2 weeks ago was the always ingenious extreme cheese pizza a complete meltdown, I mean leaving. The earlier, strict case of the pizza cheese was hardly present with a lot of spice on the top. We asked the chef if they changed their ingredients because something seemed to go. The cook said the manager or owner changed how much cheese was allowed, but didn't really know. I hope that's not the case. This review may seem silly about cheese pizza, but we think it's the best in KC! The service is amazing especially from the bartender / Waiter that runs everywhere!
Based on my experience with the neighboring bar called The Hideout, my expectations were low and I was more excited to try this place and do it with it than the pizza itself. I'm very glad I enjoyed my pizza. I got the Mikey's pizza to go over $18 with taxes. They looked pretty high, but it comes with four blows and they were pretty generous with them. The thin crust is hand stuffed: not sure whether this value adds to the taste, but it has added value to the prep. All pizzas are 14 and I don't think they offer other types of crusts. I have some suggestions for the decor: you need a good sign. One at the end of the parking lot, which shows the restaurant and another outside the restaurant above the door. If I hadn't been here before, I would have assumed Ikey was no longer, since I only saw signs for the fading. Also do not use the dining area as a storage. Whatever under the tarp from the front door must go. I could see myself when I was nearby, but could not help to think about two other pizza spots nearby and more on my way home that I enjoy more.
A cute little hole in the wall hidden away on North Oak. I?m glad we stumbled upon this place a little over a year ago. It seems that every time we go the food is never a disappointment. It is always fresh, never burnt. The staff is always making sure to keep your drinks filled and is on top of your needs. Even when it is busy. They have a wide variety of appetizers, salads and pizza. I highly recommend trying this place out next time you get a craving for pizza!
