Longhorn Steakhouse - Kansas City

I ordered the medium Schwiegersteak, a loaded potato, and a house golden ale. First, the bread arrived warm and was easy to slice with a steak knife, although serving it in a basket made it a bit inconvenient to cut and handle. Next came my salad, which was generous enough to stand on its own as a separate dish. The greens, beets, and sweet elements were fresh, crisp, and flavorful. I was a bit disappointed that there wasn't a variety of dressing available, as it made the salad feel a bit dry. They didn't have any IPA on tap, so I settled for a generic golden American beer, which was nothing special. However, the steak was perfectly cooked to my preference and well-seasoned. It was juicy and flavorful throughout. My server was a trainee, but they did an excellent job. The entire team was attentive and took the time to engage with us, making it a pleasant dining experience.

This is my husband's favorite restaurant, and we come often. I love love love the stuffed mushrooms. And my new favorite is anything topped with a parmesan crust. It added so much extra flavor to the steak, and seemed to help keep the juices in. I had one of those ultra mega margaritas and there was enough to have three full glasses of margaritas for 12$. I always love coming here.

Sirloins were tender and tasty. Mushrooms good but a bit salty. Brussell sprouts and broccoli good. Bread fresh warm and good. Riesling wine and Dunkel beer good and chilled. Service at the bar was good though she was very busy. Coming back again.

The 6-ounce filet is as tender and flavorful as one would expect. The steamed broccoli is vibrant and green, just as anticipated. The service meets expectations, and the atmosphere is what I would expect from a restaurant of this caliber. The cleanliness in the dining area is also in line with expectations. The staff is as accommodating as I anticipated, and even the outdoor area is as tidy as one would hope. However, the strong urine smell and the unevenness in the dining room were not what I expected. I don’t often leave reviews like this.

I believe I just had the best steak of my life! We arrived with modest expectations, and we were completely blown away. The ribeye steak was incredibly juicy and packed with flavor—no extra sauces needed. The sides were also delicious, and there are plenty of great options on the menu. The restaurant was very clean, and the staff were helpful and friendly. Even a few days later, I’m still thinking about how amazing this meal was. Seriously!
