My fiancé and I went out for dinner at this restaurant. It was quite crowded and noisy, but luckily we were able to sit in a quiet corner which made it more enjoyable. Our cocktails were delicious, and we really enjoyed the beet salad and arancini appetizers. My fiancé was very happy with his Sunday sauce, and we both loved our desserts, especially the limoncello cake. However, the cacio e pepe that I ordered was a big disappointment. The pasta was swimming in a watery and bland sauce made from pasta water, with just a hint of Parmesan. I tried mixing it to no avail. Overall, we had a good experience and would consider returning, but I would probably not order the cacio e pepe again.
I visited Ragazza last night and was pleasantly surprised by how delicious the food was. Their shrimp and grits dish surpassed anything I've had on the Gulf Coast or in the South. The addition of Italian sausage was perfect and the sausages were seasoned just right. Their cocktails were also fantastic, especially during happy hour when the pricing is great. The only downside was the parking situation, but it's worth it to walk a few blocks for such a great meal.
We came from florida to kc to see a few muses. looking for a barbarity restaurant that is from the country plaza where we were, we found ragazza. what a joy. from the moment when my wife walked with her walker, we felt part of a family. scott, took my wife to a table, chatting all the time and put her walker in a way out. that was important because the small tables a few meters apart and all in a line. scott was extremely polite, knowledgeable and friendly. he welcomed all his guests as well. he actually introduced the people next to us who have been regular for many years. this facilitated a wonderful conversation in the evening. this is a smaller neighboring restaurant operated by family! everything is made from scratch and absolutely delicious. my wife had a gluten-free meatball Pasta-Casserole and I had the ivory parmesan. one day we still talk about how great the experience was. we thought the prices were very fair and the service was very good. be not in a hurry. sit! talk! and enjoy! they will be happy!
Was in town for business this week and my host booked us dinner at Ragazza. This is a small, intimate Italian place suited well to the neighborhood in which it sits. Ragazza had a classic feel like it has been around forever but I was told the building not to long ago was a specialty restaurant. Regardless, they have done a great job of making it feel nearly nostalgic. Food was great, as was the service. Would definitely recommend stopping by here sometime if in the area.
