Urban Cafe Kc - Kansas City

This was my first visit to this cafe, and it won't be my last! Stopped by for brunch with my gluten-intolerant friend after a hike and Urban Cafe had so many great options that looked delicious for both of us! We got the Midwest omelette and the truffled mushroom omelette. They arrived relatively quickly and was delicious. On top of that, they did the interior of the place very well; the ambiance was comfortable and the music was great. Great small, local business. Great spot to grab breakfast. The owner is usually in the kitchen and the staff is very nice. They use quality ingredients, and it shows in the flavorful food. The pork belly sandwich is one of the best sandwiches period. Highly recommend.

Best cafe in Kansas City. I had their shrimp and grits and the flavor was out of this world. I definitely can’t wait to go eat there again. I would recommend everyone to eat there.

Ate breakfast outside on a recent Sunday. Pancakes were delicious, bacon tasted like it had been cooked in the fryer. It was not good. I will be back for those pancakes. Please spray for flies in the outdoor seating, they were all over.

First visit to Urban Cafe and I will definitely be back. The food was creative and delicious. I had the balsamic veggie wrap and it was outstanding. My friends had the shrimp and grits and pork belly sandwich and they both thought the same. The only negative was it seemed to be a little slow but it was lunch and probably swamped in the kitchen. Will def be adding this to my reg lunch rotation!
