They were consistently revitalized tables, cleaning, supplying food and checking with guests to ensure that things were okay. You order when you enter and find a place. The lady in the register was helpful and informative. My wife wanted fish tacos (mostly I went too, but I had them the day before. I ordered almost grilled fish on rice, then noticed that the same grilled fish can be a sandwich. I have an ono sandwich and pommes for lunch. We also have an appetizer from Calamari. The Calamari quickly came out and was hot and fresh. Good marinara sauce for diving. Really good. The fish tacos were huge and almost impossible to eat. They were a popular dish here, many people ate them. Many ate them like a salad instead of a taco. My wife ate her as both, with a fork until she could hold the tortilla. She liked the mango salsa. My Ono fish sandwich had a huge piece of Ono on it, with darkened spices on it. I could not say if the bungalow Brioche or Challah was bread, dense but still soft. It came with hover, tomatoes, a chip of shredded cheese and teersauce. Really good when I ate everything. The tarter sauce is between a normal tarter and ranch. So we were very happy with our meal. The price is half of what you would pay with a view of the sea, so it is worth eating good food in a strip ball. This is my reason for 4 stars. Not a grave or a problem, but I don't want to give the impression that this is a high-end Hawaiian place. What they are is a fair price, really good fresh fish restaurant, in a strip shopping center that you can also take the whole family. Great job!
Very good food for the price. Great service! My only complaint was that the coconut yarn was boiled over and I wish it had been served with a coconut sauce to fit. Otherwise everything was really good.
Unfortunately, it was almost time to leave Kauai on the way to the airport, we were looking for another meal before we left this island. An internet search gave us Coconut's Fish Cafe on the way to the airport. What a great stop proved to be in the middle of the afternoon. The service was great and the food was just as good. The Coconut Shrimp appetizer was simply the star of the meal. Moist, delicate and super crisp crust. The seafood chowder was chopped with delicious pieces of seafood and potatoes. The fish and chips came with 2 species of fish Mahi Mahi and Ono. Really good is the only way to describe it. Again, the fish was fresh and damp and sat nice in the crisp coating. To say that we were sad to go is an understatement. When our plane was lifted off the runway, we could only dream when we can be back. If you are in the neighborhood, do not blink even before you review the decision to Coconut's Fish Cafe.
Excellent coconut yarn! Tacos are also good, but deserve better tortillas! I'm just saying because I'm a tortilla conniseur! The spicy poke bowl also loved!
They have great fish tacos and a really good veggie taco. Everyone got something they wanted and enjoyed. It’s a great pick for a good lunch spot.
