Lava Lava Beach Club - Kapaa

Complete disclaimer: I only had the cheese cake to take off. The cheese cake was beautifully depicted? with a decorative flower (not in the picture). Taste was amazing, only missing part was a great crust on the back, but still, would recommend even for 9$

Disappointed by the food. The drinks are great. The location on the beach and vibe are great. Service is quick...very quick so they work to move you out Ribs were obviously cooked early in the day, reheated and buried in BBQ sauce. They were just warm and had the consistency of beef jerky. We sent them back. The steak was generally good but had a good amount of gristle. This seems like a good place to grab a drink and have a burger or flatbread, not a great dining experience. The price for the ribs and steak was high and the quality was low so not much value. If you want an oceanfront restaurant with great food I'd say go to Beach House restaurant in Poipu which was comparably prices but the quality was much higher.

Absolutely loved eating here. I stayed at Kauai Shores, the Lava Lava Beach Club is inside. Their breakfast is amazing! Great food with over easy eggs cooked right. Then in the evening the dinner is above normal, with great staff, service and company. Will definitely be going back!!

Decent food. Tasty drinks. Located right next to the beach. Outdoor seating on the sand and indoor seating also. Many chickens running around. Live music every nights with a different musician. Gets a bit cool at night so a light sweater was good. Bug spray.

Amazing location on the beach, great food/drinks, great staff. Have been to the Big Island location many times so visiting here for several meals was a no brainer. Menu is somewhat limited but all items tried were excellent. Appetizers are few in number but very good/savory with their own spin on some tried and true dishes. Main courses are very tasty and very enjoyable. They really outdo themselves at their mixed drinks selection. All drinks seem to have generous pours (can actually taste the liquor) making for a genuinely enjoyable experience to compliment the food. Bonus even during the recent short staff issues?.The staff was very friendly and seemed to actually be happy to make the dining experience more enjoyable. So in short?.I am definitely returning when on either island!!
