Namaste Indian Food - Kapaa

The food truck is located on the north side of the Otsuka Furniture building, away from Kapa'a town. I almost missed it because I initially went to the food trucks on the south side and couldn't find it. The chef asked me how spicy I wanted my food, and in less than 10 minutes, I had a large container of delicious food to enjoy on the beach. After a day of kayaking and hiking, we were hungry. The first place we tried was closed due to COVID-19, but we stumbled upon this Indian restaurant and decided to give it a shot. It's actually a food truck located in a parking lot with several other similar trucks that seem to be semi-permanently parked there. The food was delicious, especially the coconut cheese curry. The cauliflower and potatoes were also quite tasty. While the naan bread is not vegan, the papadum is. The prices were very reasonable (compared to local averages) and the owner/operator was knowledgeable about vegan options. There are tables set up by the food truck to eat, and a public bathroom is available in the nearby bar.

This food truck is located outside of Jimmy's Grill and offers flavorful food with vegan options. We ordered our food medium spicy and found it to be spicier than expected, so be cautious when ordering. The curries come with rice and a Roti, which is sufficient for one person and can be shared depending on your appetite. Overall, we enjoyed our meal but found it to be on the expensive side - perhaps due to Hawaii pricing.

The meal was delicious, served fresh and hot. The spice level labeled as "mild" was a little spicier than expected.

I enjoyed the tasty Indian cuisine at this restaurant, which offers vegan menu options. The restaurant is located right next to the beach, creating a lovely dining atmosphere. I ordered the vegetable curry and it was excellent.
