Great to stop after a hike at Pololu Valley! Great amazing food and at a very affordable price. Being tourists from Texas I can say L&L sure knows how to make good bacon and great breakfast! On July 1, 2023, three of us embarked on a journey to visit all 12 L&L locations on the Big Island. This was our 5th stop. Hands down, this is the nicest L&L on island in terms of scenery and atmosphere. The service was mediocre and one can only imagine how dirty the kitchen is, which is exactly what to expect with any good L&L. We ordered a fish musubi which came out piping hot. The touch of tarter(? sauce on top of the rice was a delight and the fish tasted like deep fried fish should taste. The atmosphere is what makes this place though. The porch setting with little tables wrapping around the edge of the deck. The bright and colorful paint and the beautiful trees behind the building. The old storefronts across the street and the nearly non existent traffic. All combining to make for an incredibly peaceful and relaxing experience. The only problem for us was we had 7 more locations to visit and couldn't stay longer soaking up the vibes. 100% best location and atmosphere on island. The service was better than average, and the food was exactly what one should expect.

Good food at an affordable price. Great selection of food and enjoyable environment friendly staff. This is a must visit when you’re on your way back from the Pololu beach hike.
