Perfect when you want to escape the hectic shopping area. The food selection is limited but with balanced variation. Having tasted most of the dishes I have never been disappointed. It is also possible to just have a coffee and cake. The service is attentive and friendly.
To the right of the huge building you will find such a astonishing quiet place to rest, relax and enjoy a meal or exquisite cakes and coffee or tea. The outdoor seats are overlooking the wonderful garden of the palace. The fine dining gives you a feeling of luxury with moderate prices. Carols Ruh was the summer residence of Karl Wilhelm of Baden-Durlach. Started in 1715 the baroque palace developed to the first and central building of the new town of Karlsruhe close to the river Rhine. The Baden State Museum offers a variety of exhibitions during the year, also for kids.
This is a very nice cafe located just behind the Museum. the service here is typical of these cafes ..... none of the employees seem happy to be at work... but who is..... they were friendly and service was pretty quick..... the drinks came right away... we did not eat. A bit pricey, but typical for this type of place attached to a tourist attraction.
You are supposed to be able to enter the cafe through the palace but that was not the case walk all around for an expensive coffee that is served by staff who are not really interested in their clientèle.
Beautiful terrace with great views of the park. delicious coffee and a beautiful selection of cakes / torten sweeten a relaxing walk in the park.
