The facility and the terrace have the flair of the 70s, which is, who likes it, nothing bad. overall clean and tidy. the price-performance ratio is not true. a cup coffee with cream (cappuccino is not available) € 3,20, ice cream € 8,00, cake € 3,80. an egg bought there in the waffel must not be consumed on the terrace. the personal is friendly and flink.
The caffe captivates with beautiful weather determined with a good location directly in the carlsruher zoo. in the interior you sit very nice, very bright through large window areas. The sanitary facilities have just as much as the whole caffe come into the years, but still clean. The service is ok, but inflexible, which is shown, for example, by the fact that there was no possibility for children only to order a ball of ice, but at least 2 balls, as another one can only pay bar, no EC card or credit card.- small cake selection- very tasty cakes and torten - very fine.
For a disc brot with salami and a bit deko 8€! a cup of filter coffee for three euro. I like to pay a reasonable price, but that was a bit much. next time directly in the zoo restaurant
When entering the zoo terraces you feel like on a time trip to the 70s. nostalgie pur... from the complete facility to the registration fund to the silver beetles, where hand-brewed coffee, milk, sugar and water, in turn on a silver platter, is served. you will be treated very nice, friendly and courteous... the coffee was very good. cakes and torts look delicious and made of... to taste, unfortunately, we can't say anything because we haven't tried them. with 3-4€ per piece the price is rather high. are quite exaggerated prices for the little foods. salami,- ham,- fresh cheese,- or cheese bread for 8€. Also a campari soda or orange does not have to cost 8.50€. Conclusion: who wants to drink a coffee during his zoo visit and to get a free time trip on top of it is right there. ;-)
