Ristorante Il Teatro - Kassel

I have been to this place at least times. The food is very good, service great and the selection of wines by the glass is endless......... my favourite Italian in Germany without a doubt. I sugest you book in advance as space is limited

Il teatro is located near by the Fridricianum, the main artfestival documenta building in Kassel, just right in the city center. the restaurant is a true family business, dad is chef, mam and son are doing service and they do all three very well!...seating is nice and cosy avoid sitting close to the door, meals are fresh and tasty and the variety of the menu is wide. We had fish, pasta and carpaccio, wine, desert and coffee, and we enjoyed all of it. There are many other italian restaurants in Kassel, but if you like not just to eat, but to enjoy, rather choose il teatro next time... pricerange is a bit higher than usual, but worth it. and don´t forget to make reservations. it is often booked also during lunchtime

Really good food and service. go there if you like the Italian kitchen. we even had delicious pizza.

Big weinlist (Germany italics can make a perfect choice) with extremely professional service. the wine tasted great, began by the process of serving, by the desire to taste when after seamless decanting process (unrock with candle light) and finally poured glass through glass. of stölzle on the way that is really important. if they don't like crying, they'll try to eat it. tagliata is great, but much better accompanied by the wein. kassel, why are you so far?
