There are always exceptions. Even the terraces, to be honest, are quite similar. Based on this premise, during a visit to the Bouddhanath temple, a restaurant with a terrace is the View Himalayan, although, as you can see in the photos, the view of the square and the temple is not the best. The terrace extends back, allowing those who can't reach the front row a view as well. No big deal, also because we have tried others, but it's good to know if you're going there. As seen in the photo, we weren't very hungry and stopped there just to enjoy the beautiful view. We had a milk tea and a snack (tortillas, which we forgot to photograph).
I am not exaggerating when I say that in Kathmandu, especially in the central areas, tourists often choose restaurants more for the ambiance than the quality of the food. Of course, there are exceptions to this rule. Even the rooftop terraces tend to be quite similar in many cases. That being said, during a visit to the Bouddhanath Temple, we found a restaurant with a terrace boasting a Himalayan view. However, the view of the square and temple from here, as shown in the photos, was not the best. The terrace was spacious, allowing those at the back to still enjoy the view. While we weren't very hungry, we stopped by for a tea with milk and a snack. Unfortunately, we forgot to take a photo of the snack.
