It comes with a base and a side . For my base I got the rice and beans. For my side I got the deep fried smashed plantain. If you like sweeter plantain, I would not get this side. I don't really mind. I also got asked for a side portion of their griot fried pork) topped with pikliz pickled vegetable) Before going, I would call to see what all they have. I definitely will be back to try their black rice and fried goat ! It is in a food truck park. The temperature was cool, so me and my friend ate out there. Bring your own beverages because they do not sell any.
I’m sorry this was my 3rd time visiting taste of Haiti so I have to leave a review. I’m originally from Miami so I was happy to see Haitian food in Katy. The owners seemed nice day 1 however I got home and barely had any food on my plate after spending over $40 for two plates of food that just wasn’t there. They said they did a festival the night before and sold out of a lot of food. When I got home I barely had any griot maybes 6-8 small pieces and the oxtails 3-4 small pieces. Most of my griot was dry accept a couple pieces, the Bunan was dry as well But the rice was good and all the traditional flavors were there. I love to patron black business so I went a second time and the food was good and fresh as the owner said they wanted to make things right after my constructive criticism. The 3rd visit today only the older cousin was there and first and foremost I waited 15 min for my food when it’s time to pay he says he only accept cash no sign etc so as I waited I could have went to an atm. I leave and come back for my food and both plates of griot is once again dry and you can tell the food was fried twice or just old, the bunan dry, Mac and cheese old and dry, the black rice I took a bite of and it was sour you couldn’t tell it was days old. They must not be selling enough food and not even disposing of old food that’s 2-4 days old. I am disappointed in this establishment and will no longer spend my hard earned money here. I am spending 30-50 dollars at a time and they just don’t seem to get it right. I won’t be back. Good thing you have a food truck and can move to new locations the worse the food and service gets. Ebony and Changler I hope you fix your issues.
I ordered the creole j chicken, black rice and plantains. I finished eating and the first words that came out was: that was good! The customer service and food was great. I will be back.

These people are real Haitians. They do not respect time. They never return calls and has never opened. But the only time I was able to talk to someone, he told me that they were going to open the next day at 1 PM. I went the next day and waited for 45 minutes, nobody showed up.
