Local's Healthy Joint - Katy

PAYMENTS! My friends and I (all three of them) eat here at least four times a week! They recognize my voice on the phone and know my order by heart, which is pretty funny. The Buffalo Castle is an amazing spot for delicious burgers, and it's totally worth it to go for free. My absolute favorite are the buffalo tacos. I can easily eat one, but I always end up having two (and they're only 125 calories each!). The staff is incredibly friendly, and you really don’t feel like just a customer here; it’s so much better than that. I’ve meant to try some other items on the menu, but I can never resist the tacos. Bottom line: this place has THE BEST food in TEXAS, and I can be pretty picky!

LoCal's is a truly distinctive restaurant. At its core, it serves healthy burgers made with buffalo meat, which the owner personally selects, rather than traditional beef. You might assume that because it's healthy, the food wouldn't be flavorful, but that's simply not the case. The burgers are fantastic, the salads are flavorful, and breakfast is a delightful experience. I highly recommend giving it a try at least once—I have a feeling you'll end up loving it just like I do.

I ended up ordering something I didn't really enjoy. However, the Buffalo Tacos, Ahi Tuna Tacos, Buffalo Burger, Buffalo Bolognese, and Black Beans were all incredible. The portion sizes are very generous, and you can truly taste the freshness of the ingredients. The nutritional information on their website is quite detailed, which I really appreciate. I can't think of a better place to eat healthily. Normally, I tend to skip dining out since I can prepare healthier meals at home, but LoCal really challenges that!

I can't say enough about Lo-Cal's. I depend on her buffalo taco and her roasted buffalo sandwich. If you are looking for great food and want to eat light, this is where you want to eat.

They have a difficult task- make food healthy AND delicious! They are successful. I've had probably half of the menu and its all awesome. I've never been disappointed here. Fairly priced and the employees seem to really care about the customers.
