Can Oba - Kavakli

Good services and nice hospitality with best delicious dinner

We found the place by trip advisor (note: the location on google maps is not correct) and let us in for a later afternoon dinner. we had the grilled sea bass with orange sauce and seafood soup. both were very nice and very well prepared. can oba personally serve us and was very nice, offers us complementary tee and chocolate (too full to taste the desert). all in all, great eating to cheap trips, would recommend stopping by when they are in istanbul!

Absolutely fabulous in every way. PLEASE don't leave Istanbul without making this essential visit. Fish, steak, veggies are succulent ... delicious beyond description. Save room for spectacular sumptuous dessert! (Mousse in a chocolate sauce, lemony cheesecake with a perfect sauce, smooth, creamy tiamisu)

I don't really agree with the current tripadvisor rating, but, its not that bad of an issue. The restaurant served decent food at decent prices, something that is lacking in most of the place I went to. Maybe the fact that I'm Middle Eastern and as a result the food isn't new to me contributed to my opinion as well. Anyway, I enjoyed the way the staff talked to each other while it was there, adding Bey and Khanum when calling each other, it reminded me of how some of the elders in my family talk to each other.

Can oba restaurant led by michelin star. it is amazing good restaurant. eating is great. highly recommended!
