Рубаи - Kazan

Very good Tatar food. Finally some local specials. Nice service. We liked the individual boots. It gives some privacy. We would go back if again in Kazan. Menus in English.

Good food and alcohol, though the variation of beer on tap is not very large. Sufficient numbers of staff understand English and can explain local food quite well. Seats are comfy sofas with translucent curtains that give you some privacy. Would recommend for local cuisine for non-Russian speakers. Short belly-dance style performance at around 8pm when visited.

Really tasty 100% traditional food. Very good prices and the ambiance is very nice also. It's like going back in time. Really good if you like traditional places.

Lovely little restaurant in the centre of town. Most of the tables are set up as individual booths surrounded by curtains, which makes for an intimate dining affair even if the place is quite busy. The menu was too big in my opinion and it was actually quite difficult to make a choice. The food we ordered was great and the service was reasonably quick.

A nice array of Uzbek, Uyghur and other Central Asian dishes. They have a Tatar menu , but nearly all of the dishes on that menu are Central Asian or Russian. Atmosphere is quite nice, with quiet places where one can have a nice conversation.
