Dakoda's Sports Bar & Grill - Kelowna

I'm always on the hunt for hot wings, so when we were staying nearby I jumped at the chance to try this place out. It wasn't a 'wing night,' but even at the regular price (pretty standard these days, just over a buck a wing,) I was pleased with my choice. My wife had the fish and chips - the special - and she was really impressed with the flavor, me with the portion size and price: 2 very large pieces and not greasy, great fries too, ten bucks. My wings weren't hot enough, but the portion was ample and flavor very good. Great soup too, beer typical but priced fairly. Server was very good, attentive but not in your face. It's a sports bar so multiple TVs, no sound so try to figure out what's going on if you care.I liked this place a lot, nice decor, clean, fast service on our visit and a nice vibe.

My husband and myself decided to go for beer and wings at Dakodas. We walked in and sat down away from the bar area because even though there was not many people there, it was extremely noisy. We wanted to share a larger serving of wings and asked if we could order two different flavors because we each like our flavors. They came with blood still coming out. When we called the waitress over, her comment was " yes, they occasionally have some blood inside and it was okay. they cook all their wings on a timer" My husband showed her how the juice was red in the drumette pieces and said we will not eat them that way. She said since the wingette pieces seemed fine we could eat those and she would bring us a whole new order cooked twice and off she went without waiting for a reply. When she came back out of the kitchen my husband told her we just did not want to eat any of them that were not cooked more, and wanted another order of the two flavors. The waitress then asked if we just wanted wingetter parts then, and we said no, we like both parts. By this time she was being rather rude and we were getting frustrated. After some time, she walked by our table and just dropped off an order of just the wingette pieces in just my husbands flavor. which i could not eat, because they are too spicy. Not even half of what we originally ordered. We called the waitress back over to complain and ask for the manager and all she said was " oh sorry, that what the kitchen gave me" and left again. By this time we just wanted to leave this bad experience so we asked to speak to the manger again payed our bill, no tip. The waitress told us the manager was not there and she could not even take anything off our bill because she was not allowed to do that. We will never ever go back again.

We have never have been disappointed here..love the food. And you must try the gravy with frys .homemade . sooo good .

We have been here twice now, both times the food was fantastic. So many items to choose from, and the daily specials are incredible. We even took in the comedy club after supper one evening, and it was a great show. There are tv's broadcasting sports all around the bar, and even a dart area! This is a great place for a night out, and we will be back again.

What great food! Good prices! Stopped here for lunch, should have done it long ago. Huge menu selection, friendly staff.
