Fezziwig's Artisan Bakery-cafe At Guisachan

This delightful café offers fantastic food at affordable prices. With a few outdoor tables, it draws in a loyal customer base, and the staff is both friendly and efficient. I opted for the half sandwich and soup combo, which was tasty and perfectly portioned for lunch.

I decided to buy a slice of cake because my first experience with it a couple of months ago was fantastic. Sadly, this time the cake was dry and lacked flavor. The raspberry gel had a gummy bear-like texture, which was quite unappetizing. It's disappointing to pay "fresh" food prices for something that feels "stale." If I had realized it was past its prime, I wouldn't have purchased it. On another visit, I tried a cinnamon bun that had no sweetness whatsoever. I'm tired of spending a lot of money on unsatisfying food, and I won't be returning.

I had a delicious BLT sandwich on multigrain bread, accompanied by a small side salad.

I went to this restaurant on a Friday and ordered a lime slice, which turned out to be dried out and had a strange flavor combination of mint and lime. My mother tried a Danish pastry, and the only bright spot was the lemon sauce; however, the mincemeat tart sauce on the other side was rather unappetizing. I chose this place based on its high ratings, but unfortunately, the pastries were disappointing. Normally, I would ask for a refund, but considering the current COVID situation and that I only spent $6, I opted to just let it go.

The food at this restaurant is outstanding. As a lover of Asian cuisine across the Lower Mainland, I've noticed that even with Vancouver's extensive selection, there are only a few places I can truly recommend. Vi La distinguishes itself with its commitment to using high-quality ingredients and authentic recipes, resulting in fresh flavors that are light and not greasy.
