Feedback gevenThe Grove has closed down and there is now a new buffet at the Eatery. The buffet is pretty good.
A few years ago, this restaurant was quite chaotic. However, the service has improved significantly recently, and the food was delicious. It seems like the menu has been updated since our last visit. There is a young waiter who is very friendly, possibly Russian. The wait times may be a bit long, but it is definitely worth it!
We have eaten here a few times, each with the hope that has improved the menu, or they may have found a decent cook. No! Last night stopped and the food was best uninspired. I had the Rueben and usually they were stacked on the roof. This... one was greasy and only a few meats were thrown between two pieces of very healthy bread. The pommes were salted. My husband had the penne alfredo and added the shrimp for an extra $6.00. I guess you could call them shrimps, maybe those who were considered the runts of the litter. That and a small bowl of pasta for $20. The bread was white, doughy and the way you buy and bake from the supermarket. After eating in Ricardo, where the shrimps are bigger than your head and the food is to die, that was quite ridiculous. Burned twice, shy twice. Never again.
I had lunch at this restaurant and my server, Robyn, was excellent. However, the food was only average. The burger patty seemed processed and the salad looked like it had been sitting for a while with some wilted leaves. I paid $16 for the gourmet burger and salad, as I didn't want the packaged soup. Overall, the meal felt like something you would eat in a hurry. I give the restaurant 3 stars for the great service and decent food.
Good food, sometimes quite a long wait, pretty noisy being part of a casino, good choices on the menu
