I've never really been a fan of airport restaurants, the food quality is usually substandard and the prices hyperinflated. But eating at Cappello was a bit of a pleasant surprise. The staff were friendly, and the manager came to ask how we were doing twice. <br/ <br/ I ordered an omelette which was tasty and filling too. One of our party members informed the waitress that he doesn't eat mushrooms, and she substituted his mushrooms for avo which I thought was nice.<br/ <br/ As far as airport food goes, Cappello is definitely a good choice
For some reason I love dining at an airport. Ive eaten here on 2 seperate occasions. The pasta's are really good but the jalapeno steak is hands down a winner here for me. I managed to eat the whole thing without any help from hubby. He had his own steak, with eggs, baked beans, mushrooms and slices of toast. It was dinner but he loves a hearty breakfast meal at any odd hour. Both our choices were excellent. I had a sex on the beach mocktail to wash down the spicy chilli tucked into my perfectly prepared steak. It was soo refreshing and pretty to look at. Overall excellent, including the service. Will be back again without a doubt.
A typical transit type restaurant with a better than average ambiance to get that quick bite and coffee craving before you jet off to your destination. The service is quick and efficient which is needed given short waiting periods before a flight or check in. <br/ Decor and ambiance is quite welcoming with an earthy contemporary design making it a better choice of restaurants to get that quick craving. Menu selection is good however prices are high for even the most simplest of dishes or meal however it is located at the international part of the airport which would be expected. <br/ Went for the open ciabatta sandwich with halloumi and aubergines which was really average and lacked any basic flavours. The ciabatta was non existent but rather a brown toasted roll which was rather disappointing. The Americano though was a really great cup of strong coffee which was a nice kick start to the morning. <br/ <br/ Have tried other options on the menu previously and it was much better tasting which still gives me hope of returning to this restaurant though there's not many other options at the Airport before check in.
Although the reviews for Cappello reflect an average experience, we had a good time here nothing much to complain about. The atmopshere is nice, seats are cozy and the menu is quite expansive.<br/ <br/ Fiancé and I had a cappucino each, then a bolognese pasta for myself and a chicken schnitzel for him. The bolognese was tasty enough, a bit scant on the meat but isn't pasta always like that? The chicken schnitzel porrions were also a bit small but at least cooked well, served nicely and definitely not lacking in taste. <br/ <br/ All in all a nice meal, service was fast enough and food was good. The price was a bit steep but on par for a restaurant meal in an airport. Wouldn't mind going back and trying some of the other bites.
