We initially wanted to go to the sushi bar, but my partner wanted fish and chips so we went to the restaurant. The place was busy but not packed and when we walked in we had about 4 waiters ready to help us!<br/ <br/ My partner had the fish and chips which he enjoyed I felt the chips were a bit dry and hard... I went for some sushi! I tried out one of the Mediterranean sushi dishes and it was surprisingly extremely tasty!!! I tried the Kypro Prawn Roll. I also took some 'normal ' sushi salmon and crabstick California rolls. I know that usually most sushi enthusiasts would never eat sushi at an Ocean Basket but I really enjoyed it!! The service was absolutely great!! The manager even came by to ask if everything was fine and I liked that they were showing the soccer, everyone was watching so it was like we were all having dinner together : <br/ <br/ If I am in the airport again, I will be sure to come back here should I be in the mood for seafood :
At OR Thambo Airport, were on our way to Cape Town and had an hour before boarding. So we decided to have a bite to eat. <br/ And, because a Sushi Bar proves iresistable to us, we tried theirs.<br/ I warned the waiter that we had only 40 min. Still it was somewhat nerve-racking sitting there, sipping sparkling water, wondering whether they'll succeed to deliver in the time available!<br/ (We were 5 people)<br/ And they produced lovely sushi in time! Delicious and fresh. A good way to start a holiday! Service was friendly.
Great food, great service!! The food arrived really quickly which was super impressive! And they were so generous with the portions! I've been let down by this franchise a few times in the past, especially when it comes to their prawns.. and this specific one was great!! Big prawns, big mussels, and A LOT of that delicious lemon butter sauce <br/ <br/ #happiness
