Five Star - Kemptville

After many years of supporting this restaurant, I am now looking for alternatives due to my recent disappointing experience, which left me feeling ripped off. When I picked up my order, which included five different meals and four separate dishes totaling over $190, I was informed that I didn’t qualify for fortune cookies. I couldn’t believe it—how much do you have to spend to earn those little after-meal treats that have been a staple in Chinese dining for decades? I am very disappointed with this restaurant and will now seek out another place that truly values my patronage and hard-earned money, and understands the importance of traditional cookie customs.

I visited for lunch, specifically looking for Chinese cuisine. The restaurant had a typical family-friendly atmosphere. The service was prompt and warm. The egg roll was enjoyable, but unfortunately, the rest of the meal didn't impress. It tasted as if it had been taken straight from a frozen food package.

My mom and I decided to have lunch together and also placed a takeout order while we were dining. Our bill was quite substantial, and we left a generous tip. However, when we got home, we discovered that the chicken balls we added to our order were missing, even though we had paid for them. I called the restaurant and spoke with the manager, who assured me that we would receive a credit for the mistake. But when I returned to the restaurant, they said they couldn’t refund my money. I mentioned that I didn’t want the product anymore, just a refund, and they told me that wasn’t possible. I also noticed that they had a stack of the same credit notes on hand.

Best Chinese food ever! And their spring rolls are incredible, Including the sauce. It's a great place to eat in and it's always packed with just a good indicator on how great the restaurant is. They do take out as well and I see that a lot of people use that especially during covid.

Good Chinese, but no interact, they want you to use their ATM machine so they make more money. Do not come to Kemptville for Chinese, better places where you at and better service.
