El Nopalito Mexican - Kennesaw

The food is decent. I don't have anything bad to say, just not all that inspiring. The service was slowish and inconsistent. As I go to Hobby Town every now and then, I have seen this place many times and was curious. Would I go back? If I was in the area,perhaps, just to give them the benefit of the doubt. The chips and salsa were just meh. I really found the salsa to be in lackof much real flavor. Salsa quality says a lot about how the remaining food journey will be, imho. The carnitas dinner was fair.The pork was a little dry, as if I had spent too much time being kept warm. The flavor was pretty good, though. My friend is afan of trying chimichangas from as many places as possible and the one here was a bit of a letdown. The exterior tortilla lookedlike it spent very little time in the pan or oven. Poorly executed is my take away.

I have been to this restaurant many times over the years but sadly, today was huge disappointment! The service was horrible! We seated ourselves, it wasn't terribly busy, and waited quite some time before getting anything. Finally, we were provided withthe usual chips and salsa, but waited longer before getting any menus or drink orders. After even more waiting we finally haveour order taken...and waited some more. 2 patrons came in after us, dining separately, they got menus, drink orders and foodand we still hadn't gotten a simple queso appetizer! Unbelievable! I will not return to this restaurant. I offered and eveninsisted to pay for our drinks because i wasn't wanting anything free, but the cashier refused.

This is my family's favorite local Mexican restaurant for dine in and take out. We have been enjoying this local gem for years and keep coming back. The food is always good; the service is fast and friendly. Usually we are seated right away and are in andout within an hour.

My favorite Mexican place in Kennesaw. The food is wonderful and fresh. The meats have a tasteful level of seasoning without over powering anything. Another nice thing about here is that you don't leave smelling like fajitas. Drinks are also very wellmade.

Would definitely go back when I'm in town; good food, good service, fair prices. Only thing is the salsa was sweet, like they added sugar to it or something. Other than that, food waa delicious. I had the veggie fajitas and when I asked the server ifmeat broth or lard was used in the beans and rice or for any flavoring and she said no. That's important to me since I don'tconsume animal-derived products.
