We had a strong craving for delicious fried catfish, and this place definitely hit the spot! I ordered the whole fish, and it was perfectly tender and moist on the inside, with a wonderfully crispy exterior. We even returned the next day to try the fried okra, which was fantastic as well!

The fish was expertly prepared and just needs your favorite seasoning to really shine. Everything is made to order, so expect some wait time, but it's definitely worth it. Prices are on the higher side, so plan accordingly. The parking lot can be tricky to access due to heavy traffic in this bustling area.

We sampled the country fried steak (which was about the size of a hamburger), catfish, hush puppies, large shrimp, clam strips, steak fries, genuine fried onion rings, and peach cobbler. Most items on the menu were fried, which was a lot to take in. I'm still deciding whether I'd return. However, if you're commuting home from work on McCollum, I recommend calling ahead and picking up the fish, large shrimp, onion rings, hush puppies, and steak fries.

I’m from a rural town in GA where Fish Friday’s was a staple. I’ve noticed since we’ve been up here that it’s hard to find good fried fish so it’s no knock on this restaurant alone. We had the 3 whole catfish, green beans, white beans, shrimp, and okra. I don’t even know how to explain the taste of the fish but it just wasn’t what we’re used to. It wasn’t fried hard, the seasoning was just ok, but the taste of the fish itself was the issue. I don’t know where it comes from but I believe that’s the problem. The sides were just ok. Nothing to be excited about. The okra could have been better but they were salty. The shrimp was beautifully fried— the batter is good but the taste of the shrimp themselves is what was lacking. The shrimp didn’t have seasoning so it tasted like rubber. A young lady sitting beside me had the onion rings which were presented beautifully! She said they were sweet. She said they tasted like funnel cake batter around them. The good thing is that the staff was very nice! This is why I gave 3 stars; it’s not the food but the staff deserved some stars! The restaurant is very cute. Very clean and nice. You will wait at least 25 minutes for your food because they cook it to order so the fried stuff is definitely hot and fresh out the grease!

Ok, 3 times, probably 10 years ago, we had the absolute best catfish we'd had in a while. Fast forward to today, I decided to try it again because the next 7 experiences were horrific. I'm afraid that trend continued. Fries? Fine. Cole slaw? Flavorless. Hushpuppies? Not bad. But the catfish filets were WAAAAAAY overcooked, paper thin, hard to chew. I'm throwing away half my order. It's just that bad. I have no clue how this restaurant has 4 or 5 stars if these other reviewers had what I had. I wanted it to be good again, but I guess that's gone forever. I am happy they re-opened though.
