We also placed an order for takeout, and everything was ready as promised. The ambiance of the place is great, and even when we got home and ate the food, it was still delicious. Highly recommend this wonderful restaurant!
Now, onto the menu! I was quite hungry and decided to go for some large rolls. I knew I had to try the Tiger Roll for its quality, but I ended up ordering the Godzilla Roll as well. I was a little nervous about the special roll, as sushi places are not just about presentation but also about satisfying their customers. I specifically didn’t order imitation crab for either roll, and when the first sushi came out with crab, the waitress noticed and promptly corrected it before it reached my table. I really appreciated her attention to detail as it saved me from a potential trip to the emergency room. When my sushi arrived without crab, I was blown away. The Godzilla Roll truly lived up to its name; the tempura on the first piece looked like Godzilla's back! The beautiful sauces were drizzled on top, and the slices were perfectly arranged on the plate. I would give this roll a perfect 10 for presentation, flavor, delicacy, and every other aspect. It had a nice spicy kick, which I enjoyed. Next, I tried the Tiger Roll, but it wasn’t anything extraordinary. I’d rate it an 8.5; it wasn’t as visually impressive as others I’ve had, but it didn’t disappoint. I would have loved to see avocado and shrimp on top, but that's not how they prepared it, and I appreciate their choice to keep it simple. Though I usually manage to finish two rolls of sushi, I struggled with the Godzilla Roll because it was so satisfying and delicious that I was savoring it. I wanted to take the last four pieces home! The crunch of the entire roll was incredibly tasty, and surprisingly, the avocado retained its freshness and didn’t lose flavor after being fried—an impressive feat not common in many sushi places. Lastly, the wasabi here was very smooth, which I had never encountered before. Typically, wasabi can be quite flaky, but not at this restaurant, and I enjoyed that I could control the amount better without overwhelming my palate. I’ll definitely be back—I truly loved the Godzilla Roll! An update on May 27, 2022: the food is still amazing, as is the service!
This charming little spot has a friendly waitress who made our experience even better. It’s not a fancy restaurant—more of a casual eatery with some cool music playing. We ordered sushi rolls, and while I have a favorite sushi place that I usually go to, I would definitely come back here if I were in the area. My daughter had the chicken teriyaki, which was served in a fun boat-shaped dish. The salad, rice, and chicken were all delicious. I tried the Geisha roll because I really love cream cheese; it was tasty and had a great texture, just like someone had recommended in another review. The wasabi was extremely spicy, just the way I like it! My other daughter ordered the Fuji roll, as she enjoys a variety of fish in her sushi, and she appreciated the flavors and textures of the sauces. The restaurant has photos on the walls, making it easy to know what you're ordering. We also tried the herbal tempura, which came with enough for three to four people—definitely a generous portion! The dipping sauce was perfect, too.
This is one of those places where you can never explore because it is in a small area that is less examined. I would highly recommend this sushi restaurant because I feel that it is one of the nicer in the Tri towns. It is too bad that it is in such a small bag in a non-examined area, I give them 5 stars for the excellent taste of their food
Always delicious. My favorite ones are Paradise and Golden California rolls but all others I’ve tried were also great. Would love to get a little more ginger and wasabi though with every roll. Also Bentos are delicious here. Seriously I liked everything I’ve tried so far. If you haven’t been here yet, go try it, you might find a new favorite sushi spot.
