Carr's Oysters - Kensington

Best place for oysters and steamers we had on pei We were here a week and we came back here 3 times Great service and view.

My husband and I had really slow service here and the food was very mediocre to poor.

This meal was the worse we have had in months Usually we would be safe with fried seafood but everything came out burned to a crisp.

After the oysters lobsters rolls and chowder we had prior to this visit. this was disappointing expensive and not worth the 2 hours we drive took to come here. The chowder was ok. the lobster roll was dry, cold, stale snd smelled fishy and the homemade mayo was not good at All. Go to the chowder house at point prim thats where its at for lobster roll....The vibe and energy was not good either. Will not recommend this place ever .... It was like eating a subway lobster sub(: for 20 bucks.

The oysters were fresh and plump but they only had malpeques and only sell them by the piece. $2.50 a shuck for a small oyster is steep and I have had just as good in oyster bars far away from PEI for much less. We sat outside and they seemed to be having issues with wasps. Not always something a restaurant can control but we did not experience this problem anywhere else during our stay. Their steamed mussels were ok, but not the best that we've had. The fried shrimp were a good size and tasty. Service was friendly and attentive. Their tap water had a strange taste.
