Stanley Bridge Country Resort

Stanley Bridge resort was very nice. There are no elevators at the Inn so be prepared if you're on the 3rd floor as we were. The view amazing

Four of us were looking for a place to eat and saw the sign, "Live Music". Turns out the music was good and the food was great. Lots of local craft beers, good menu selection and nice atmosphere.

Went for the Sunday brunch buffet and throughly enjoyed the buble bake. Typical brunch without the omelette station but with the added bonus of the buble bake. Like a chowder.

We were reluctant to try a hotel restaurant but were pleasantly surprised. We ordered nachos to start which were delicious. Plenty of toppings and lots of cheese. We had the ribs for the main course and we both agreed that they were absolutely delicious. Server was excellent and very attentive. Our server and other staff gave us some excellent local advice and we enjoyed the show at the hall thanks to their recommendation. Pub was very cozy on a chilly September evening and the Blueberry beer is my new favorite. We will be back.

Hours posted say they are open until 10, but tonight when went to order food at 8:50 pm we were told the kitchen was closed. Two different reasons were given: 1. It was a slow day, and 2. They were starting to wind down their summer hours. Which is the real reason? Any quality establishment does not close its doors early. In addition, if they were truly winding hours down, they failed to notify the resort reception desk. Bad business move. And if one cannot trust how they regard their customers on this front, then it is equally difficult to trust what happens in their kitchen.I would never go there again, on principle, nor would I ever recommend them.Their slow service this morning for breakfast was annoying, but tonight they really blew it!
