Eclipse - Kensington and Chelsea

I ordered the Slone Square Sling; although it sounded appealing, I found it to be overwhelmingly sweet and fruity with very little alcohol content. After finishing my drink, I headed to the downstairs club area, but it was also quite empty. The sound system was good, and the DJ was playing some solid house beats, but the low ceiling made me feel a bit claustrophobic, so I decided to leave. Perhaps I just chose a bad night to visit, but I’m giving this place 3 stars because I was particularly interested in the craft cocktail experience, and that was a significant letdown for me. The restaurant has a lovely ambiance and atmosphere, accompanied by pleasant chill-out house music. The staff is friendly, and the bartender is quite experienced. They offer a great selection of cocktails. I tried the ECLIPSE version of the rum-based ZOMBIE cocktail, and it was delicious. However, I think the prices could be a bit more reasonable, as we spent around £30 for two cocktails.

The atmosphere at Eclipse is fantastic, and the cocktails are exceptional. If you’re in the area, be sure to try their signature watermelon cocktail. I personally preferred the martini glass option over the tall glass option, as the latter tends to dilute the drink with ice. If you’re like me and want to savor your cocktail, I recommend going for the version without ice.

We hosted a staff event here and it was great. It was easy to book, as there are no requirements to provide card details if you book before a certain time, therefore no risk if the group decides to cancel last minute. The bar is quite small but has a nice decor and feel to it. We really enjoyed the cocktails, which were indeed quite pricey but it is expected of any bar in this area. Pizza was nothing special but a nice snack to share after having a few drinks. One thing that makes this bar stand out is the ball pit downstairs. Even though it is something very simple, we had great fun playing in it and really enjoyed it. I would recommend and would return here again.
