I have to say I was most disappointed with the pie and mash dish. The pastry looked home made but was hard and thick and not light and flaky as I think it should be. There was also hardly any meat. I don't think I had one decent chunk. She also felt the same. I wish I had bought her a Pukka Pie instead. The drinks were good though.
Just returned from dinner…loved it. After traveling through Europe over the past 3 weeks, was hankering for a good old fashioned English pub meal. The Goat did not disappoint! Couple of cold beers and a red, with Chicken pie and mushrooms and mash….yum. Great atmosphere and good service. Loved it.
Terrible time. Very poor, unwelcoming service very unbothered and loud and our food was cold. Not at all worth our time or money.
Popped in here for pre event drinks and meal before concert at Royal Albert Hall, although there was a reasonable selection of ales there wasn't any alcohol free wine meal was average, only 3 mushrooms and half a small tomato with my steak a few peas wouldn't have gone a miss. ordered a coffe for my wife and was given the option of expresso or americano when I asked for some milk was rudely told it was black and the bar person had told me this which he didn't I was told that there was no milk in the pub, when I asked the waitress if there was any milk for a cup of tea the bar person started shouting at her that he'd already told me that there wasn't any which i was very suprised at as most people drink tea with milk. This was a bad start to the evening and would not have expected this from staff/ landlord of any pub and we certainly won't be visiting this establishment again.
We ran in here during the rain and we’re happily surprised. They had several unique vegetarian options. The mushroom chili was good. My husband loved his steak ale pie.
