We placed our order, paid, received our food, and enjoyed it without any hiccups. The efficiency of the service allowed us to spend more time catching up with a friend we hadn't seen in months, which made us quite content. Additionally, the drinks we ordered were also quite enjoyable.
Whenever we are in London, we always stay close to the Pret a Manger outlet across from the South Kensington Tube Station. We are regular customers and have visited several times in the past few days. We love the variety of food and drinks Pret offers, especially their baguettes, toasties, sandwiches, excellent coffees, and juices. The staff is friendly, competent, and patient, and the prices are very reasonable. The outlet can get very busy and finding a table can be a challenge. Unfortunately, the toilets are not well-maintained. Despite these issues, we have enjoyed our recent visits and plan to come back on our next trip to London at the end of May.
Why are the toilets constantly closed at this establishment. Signs constantly say that the facilities are broken. I will not be going here again!!
My local Pret is great, so as I was in South Kensington I tried this one. Food was ok, but I’m afraid found the staff very ‘offish’. The shelf was empty of ‘Pole Line Caught tuna baguettes’, so I asked the guy serving me if they had any out back I could have. I received a curt “No, once they’re gone, they’re gone answer.” So i settled for a cheese one. Half way through eating it they brought out loads of the tuna ones and filled the shelf with them so what I’d been told was obviously a blatant lie; the guy obviously just couldn’t be bothered to go get me one. At the end, I needed the toilet, but you needed to enter the code on your receipt in order to gain admittance. I hadn’t been given or offered a receipt when I bought my food, so as per the instructions on the toilet door, I again went to the counter and asked a different member of staff for entry. “Toilets are shut all blocked!” he responded before turning his back on me to begin laughing and chatting to a member of staff behind him. (I have since read a review from another diner left 7 months ago, that none of the toilets were open when HE visited either! I rarely complain, but on this occasion the staff certainly needed a course on how to politely deal with their customers I won’t be using this particular branch again I’ve been married for 43 years and my wife has treated me with complete distain for most of them; I don’t need to go to Pret in order to get more of the same!
Service not good at all. Massive queue all the time and toilet always closed. What a joke , it is so many coffee places around where you can get a great breakfast and a good customer service.
