Feedback gevenI had Tartufo London on my list of places to try as my father and his wife love Italian cuisine and truffles. However, the food was not good and the service was slow. I had previously enjoyed Gymkhana more, as it was more creative.
We had high expectations for the tartufo restaurant. The word "Tartufo" means "Truffle" in Italian. The restaurant, named Truffle, offers a truffle tasting menu, highlighted by their signature dish, truffle risotto. My expectations were raised, anticipating a delightful experience.
Tartufo is set in the basement of luxury Knightsbridge based hotel, No 11 Cadogan Gardens, a short stroll from Sloane Square tube station. Originally built as four separate Victorian townhouses, No.11 Cadogan Gardens was built by Lord Chelsea in the late 19th Century. A portrait of Hans Sloane, the namesake of Sloane Square, is the first to be seen at the foot of the grand staircase. The building is magnificent with historically grandeur. Tartufo is a modern European restaurant with an Italian bias by Sloane Square, in Cadogan Gardens. I decided to go there as I saw their stand in the Taste of London festival in Regents Park and even though I did not try their food it looked really appetising, so I booked a table there for dinner on a Wednesday evening. I was also very surprised I had not heard about it before, but that is because this place is only a year old. My friend Rob also was telling me, before I went, that he really liked it. I went on a date at Tartufo pre opening dinner in Chelsea. Tartufo is an Modern European restaurant created by the emerging young chef Manuel Oliveri . The r estaurant i s on the lower ground floor of No.11 Ca dogan Gardens Hotel near Sloane S quare. Before dinner at Tartufo , we were at the bar of No.11 Cadogan Gardens Hotel . The barman is very kind and creative. If you don't know what you want , tell him what you like and he will prepare the perfect cocktails ad apted to your taste with his personal touch.
