The interior is filled with tons of racing props – even the bathrooms are on theme! Picking an item on the menu was a challenging feat with so many options to choose from. Along with the specials, there were breakfast rolls, breakfast classics such as avo on toast and eggs your egg as well as burgers, sandwiches and pitas! We ended up getting the omelette with haloumi and the eggs Benedict. We paired this with two juices – one green and one watermelon and we were good to go. This was the perfect, healthy, Sunday breakfast! Of course, no breakfast would be complete without coffee! We got the piccolo and mocha! The service at Stable Talk is attentive, friendly and fast.
Located on bustling Anzac Parade, just a short distance from the horse stables racecourse, this café provides a cozy and inviting atmosphere with elements of horses and stables found in the décor. The friendly staff adds to the warmth of the place and are hospitable throughout your visit. The menu offers classic favorites such as fluffy, oversized pancakes with a choice of toppings like banana choc honeycomb or fresh berries, all drizzled generously with maple syrup and a scoop of ice cream. The smashed avocado on toast with cherry tomatoes, feta, and poached eggs is a healthier option that is always popular. The pasta dishes are tempting, with the chili prawn pasta being a standout choice. The customizable burgers are a hit, with options like pink beef patties, chorizo, eggs, and a special sauce on a brioche bun. The Irish breakfast is a hearty option that is sure to satisfy anyone in need of a substantial meal. The well-made, strong coffee and availability of alcohol add to the overall appeal of this café. With its warm hospitality, great coffee, and delicious food offerings, this place might just be a winner.
I am not sure what the intention of this place is. It has a nice wooden interior, with a large area at the back but very few tables outside. They advertise tapas, but they only serve breakfast as they have standard cafe hours from 7am-3pm. The breakfast menu is basic, and I ordered eggs with corn fritters that were okay but lacked flavor, except for the relish which tasted like ketchup. The coffee had a bitter grainy taste, so I had to add sugar. The staff is friendly, but the overall experience can be easily compared to Cafe Jack's across the road, with Stable Talk only excelling in its interior design.
Situated near Randwick Racecourse, this restaurant boasts a trendy ambience with horse-themed decor that ties in perfectly with its name. At first glance, it may seem like there are only a few dining tables in the cafe, but there is actually a larger seating area towards the back. This was my first time trying coffee from Black Market Roaster, and I was blown away by how amazing it was. I enjoyed several dishes during my visit, including the Irish Breakfast Roll, Barramundi Salad with Chips, Pasta with Tiger Prawns, and Pancakes with Honeycomb. While everything was satisfying, my favorites were the Pasta and Pancakes; both were delicious inside and out.
Recently discovered this little gem. Fabulous food and coffee served with a smile. Prices are great and the hospitality A1.
