Ubuntu Street Cafe Catering By Project Feast

Amazing place, amazing purpose, excellent food, reasonable cost, relaxing environment. I have so much fun eating.

This is an amazing organization that helps immigrants and refugees share their talents and culture through delicious food. Every meal or catered event I've had here has been unique and tasty. Eat here, attend events here, support them!

Ubuntu Street Café is a restaurant operated by Project Feast's Culinary Apprenticeship Program. As such, it's open briefly on a few days. The rest of the workweek is dedicated to training immigrant and refugee cooks for local work in commercial kitchens. I can not overstate the value of this program. That said, my review is devoted to Ubuntu's food. It is outstanding. I've enjoyed ceviche, herby cucumber salads (topped, as I always hope, with sumac), and warming, meaty stews. When I visit, I tend toward small plates, but I have also appreciated the entrées. Today, I stopped by for esquites, which was tart and toasty. The menu rotates seasonally and as apprentices move through the training program. Ubuntu Street Café is open Wednesday-Friday from 11am-1pm.

No profit organization for refugee and immigrants. Good place!

We just finished a delicious Holiday Family Meal from Project Feast. It was so tasty with surprises at each row. What a treat. This organization makes great work on many levels in addition to delicious meals that everyone should experience. Love the multicultural family media and the personal touch that the project festival team is in each. Very recommended!
