Thoroughly enjoyed my third stay at Woodlands ' cottages. Book here with down to earth expectations for a comfortable, rustic stay. The cottage was clean, well equipped and private, and the outdoor bath is a lovely extra that I absolutely adored but don 't expect gleaming new bathtubs and don 't be surprised if trees and birds decorate them a little after all, they are outdoors which is at least half the fun! For the rest, the place is run by a small team of friendly and helpful people headed by Matthew, and I think they 're doing a great job of maintaining the property. Friendly cats and dogs a home like bonus! Don 't miss the fish and chips! Excellent!

Woodlands is the perfect antidote for those who wish to escape city pressures in green, tranquil surroundings! Matthew his friendly staff ensured that we lacked for nothing on a recent self catering getaway we enjoyed in a little wooden cabin complete with a private outdoor bath under the stars magic! Wonderful birdlife, casual restaurant meals if preferred, a pool, games room a scenic walk down to the river all accessible. A short drive to Bushman's or Kariega Rivers or the local village.
