Everything was perfectly cooked. We even saw a wild mink running around the docks. The crew was great! Very recommended. Oh, it gets cold on the water, use the jackets and blankets they offer for the trip to and from the lodge.
I wonder why they only have a few reviews. We were a group of almost 25 people (more or less), and we took everything you eat crab festival. Our waiter, Gregory, was excellent, he told us how to pick up the meat from the crab and answer our general question about life in alaska. Everyone got a salad (which was nothing special, but really good). Then we have the right deal of the crabs. They were from this world. Amazing. Really, just devine. After all, we got a dreamy cheesecake that was the best I ever had personally. So I recommend you go and eat crabs there.
The Dungeness Krabbe show arrived on time and still well cooled. I divided the contents into three two gallons plastic bags and put them in the freezer. Later I cooked a clear water on the stove (the crab is already salty enough for my taste) and heated four crab halves for about 5-6 minutes. Very easy to crack and get. Half of the meat went into a lush crab bisque, the other half went in the refrigerator. The chilled crab lasted five days and tasted good at the end. A quality product. Recommended.
The delivery was something, we say, not so good. This could be due to the type of FedEx to keep the cooled packages cold. Although they were still frozen, they began to baptize a little. Box was wet. Just to say. BUT! They were absolutely delicious!!!! We cooked a bit this night and frozen the rest for later delicacies!!! We will order again next year! I think this has become a Christmas tradition for us! Thanks for the yummies!!!
While it is quite a drive out south of town, the setting is beautiful and the facility is above average. It is a bit rustic in keeping with the Alaska theme. They provide an all you can eat Dungeness crab feast which includes salad, dessert and one beverage of choice (limited to soda, cabernet or chardonnay wine, Alaska Amber beer and coffee/tea) and melted butter/lemon with the crab. This is a crack your own and it is a messy endeavor. Casual dress advised. The wait staff are very entertaining with contests and stories. If you catch their special buy one/half price for the second, the cost is very reasonable, but even at regular price, a crab pig out like this is a good deal.
