The resort is currently under renovation and will be closed until September, but the rooms will be significantly improved by then. Overall, I would rate the rooms a 3 out of 5.
I used my Hilton points to book a standard room, and we arrived a bit early at 1 PM. The front desk agent was incredibly friendly and surprised us by having an oceanfront upgraded room ready due to my Hilton Honors status. The room was spacious and clean, complete with a nice balcony overlooking the ocean and pools. It featured a small sofa, a dining table, a roomy closet, and a mini fridge. Although the bathroom was somewhat small, it had plenty of towels, a blow dryer, and various amenities. The bed was comfortable, and Chris and I appreciated the coffee machine in the fridge. We decided to rent a cabana at the adults-only pool for the day. The rental included a fully stocked fridge with nonalcoholic beverages, as well as a huge platter of fresh fruit. The cabana was equipped with a comfy sofa, a table, a flat screen TV, and multiple outlets for charging our devices. The service was excellent, with the pool staff consistently bringing us cocktails and food, and there was even a ceiling fan to keep us cool. We spent $539 for the cabana, which covered both food and drinks—a fun but costly indulgence. The hotel's location was ideal, allowing us to easily walk to most major attractions. The on-site coffee shop was charming, and we enjoyed delicious pastries, breakfast sandwiches, and lattes. The front desk accommodated us with a late checkout to help with our transition to the Marriott property we also booked with points. There were minor issues, such as some outlets in our room not functioning and the furniture being a bit outdated, but these were small inconveniences overall. We truly had a wonderful vacation at this hotel. The staff informed us that renovations are planned soon, and they would be thrilled to invite us back to see the improvements. Everyone was friendly, and Chris and I thoroughly enjoyed our time here. We’re excited to see what the future holds for this hotel and can’t wait to witness the renovations!
This hotel is in dire need of an upgrade and renovation. Firstly, it has an old and outdated appearance. Additionally, one of the elevators was out of order, and the other was barely functioning; it was quite unsettling. My bathroom was particularly unpleasant, with mold covering the bathtub walls. I raised my concerns multiple times, and although they claimed to have cleaned it, it remained moldy and dirty. Given the high cost of staying here, it felt like a complete waste of money. The surrounding areas were also dirty and unsightly. I will not be staying here again.
Lovely lovely stay, so romantic. Love the beach hammocks and exploring. Had the most wonderful seafood buffet here, really rivals the best one at four seasons in Maui. Excellent everything thank you sm ?Rooms: 5/5
Everything about this hotel is amazing. The grounds, the location, the service, you name it. Truly. I have stayed at easily 200+ hotels, and this is in the top 5-10. However, the big issue here is the ants. Key West, if you are unfamiliar, has a massive sugar ant problem. I'm talking bad, like sit a plate down in your room, turn away, look back, and there are red ants on your food instantly bad. This hotel, in and of itself, is so absolutely beautiful and amazing, but I genuinely hope the ant problem is somehow fixed in full, but it may be beyond their control.
