This Kiel institution has existed since 1982 but has its roots in even earlier times. We actually found a free parking lot in the village of the small streets in Gaarden and reached the place after a few steps. Behind the double entrance door we came directly into the large, two-part guest room, whose rear area represents the smoker room. At first no one was to see from the staff, so we looked for a free table and took place there. Little later, a young man loaded with empty plates came out of the smoking room and turned them off at the counter. Then he took the menus from there, came to our table, greeted us and handed us the cards. Besides him, there was still a young service in the service, both made the impression that they were in the “main job” students who deserved something here. In any case, they were both dressed completely normal without any equipment customary for service personnel or special clothing. However, this did not mean that the occurrence of the two would have been about unprofessional. Both were friendly, courteous and attentive. Eating The house offers a colourful mix of classic German cuisine, combined with excursions in various international kitchen directions, as well as seasonal dishes. On the homepage of the house you can find both the current lunch card and the general menu: [here link] and [here link] As a regular meal, there is a daily fare between €5.80 and €6.80 under the week from 12:00 to 2:30. Since we had not yet come to the green coal this winter, we ordered unisono “green cabbages with cassels and roast potatoes” (€9.80). Madame ordered a mineral water (0.4l for €2.30, I order a large Cola light (0.4l for €2.80). It took only a short time until the waiter brought the drinks, and after a reasonable waiting time he served the food. The plates were good, but not excessively filled, green cabbage and roast potatoes divided the area evenly. A nice slice of Kassler lay on the green cabbage. The whole thing was very hot and the roast potatoes also deserved this name, they were beautifully chessed. The green cabbage was tastefully very good, the size of the portion was good for us to get satt. Ambiente The Bambule calls itself a pub restaurant, and that actually says enough. Tables made of dark wood and chairs in different wood tones from medium to dark standing on the floor, combined with u-shaped white lacquered benches on a window side. The establishment, like the lush green plants in all the window niches, seems to originate from the time of the opening. In the background there is a separate smoking room, and a beer garden is available in summer. Cleanliness Despite the individual recognizable traces of age, the guest room was well maintained and clean. Even with dishes, glasses and cutlery there was no reason to criticise. We didn't visit the toilet, so no statement is possible.

Nice place. I'll be there once a month. Food is very good. All employees are super nice. Very recommended
There is a great atmosphere in a cool ambience. The service is super friendly and always good. The food is very delicious. We keep our regular table from the animal welfare association and I can't imagine a better location.
