We suffered over two hours of traffic from Kaanapali to fulfill their $50 per person Prime Rib and Seafood Buffet on a Friday night only with more frustration and disappointment. This restaurant has zero ambience, housed in an open space that recalls a Junior High School multipurpose room. Folding tables, plastic chairs, rough lighting, tile floors, all adult loud voices and the feet of the locals vibrate children who are given no limits to their interaction with other diners. If you enjoy such a family, that's for you. It's not good food. The Prime Rib was delicious. The seafood consisted of hot and cold snow cancer and a mixture of shrimp and noodles in a rural and watery alfredo sauce, a total of exactly two seafood offerings. There were also beef ribs and chicken pieces in engraving. All were lukewarm, but delicious. The mixed vegetables looked as if they were directly from a Costco bag and were chilled, the potatoes were extracted, and the white rice was white rice. In summary, a completely uninspiring and tasteless palette of basics served in classic stainless steel shells without jewellery of any kind. The only waitress tried to serve about 40 diners. We asked twice for a wine list before they said they didn't have everything on the list. We wanted and got a glass of generic Sauvignon Blanc. The dessert table was such a mess of cake remnants, store-bought cookies, and hot cut cantaloupe that we passed and rushed away to another decor for dessert and a beautiful bottle of wine, never back.
We have eaten here for the first time today, the lunch on the large Lanai with magnificent mountain and sea views was fantastic. The food was tasty, the service was friendly and compared to many restaurants the price was very reasonable. We'll be back.
Sunday brunch. I guess I'm pampered with the brunch from past days of the Prince Hotel in Makena. Prime Rib was good. While I was offered a wide range of omelett additives, the cook did not know how to cook it. Eggs should not be browned. Too many carbs, not enough fresh vegetables. Dessert was minimal and uninspired. View is unequal.
Went to sunday brunch. Very nice design of restaurant. Inside and outside balcony seating. Beautiful views. Staff very courteous great service. Wasn't a wide variety of food to choose from but what had was delicious. Prime rib, omelets made to order. Reservation highly recommended.
