I really enjoy the President Bar at Mount Juliet. It has a warm and inviting atmosphere with a cozy fire burning, and the food is fantastic. They have a wide selection at the bar, and there are no distracting screens or loud music, making it a perfect dining experience.
This was our second meal at the President's bar in less than a week. The first meal was acceptable, but the service on our most recent visit was shockingly bad. The only pleasant person was a young man who brought our food. The young women who served us showed no interest or warmth, and did not provide quality service. At one point, I was left choking as my water glass sat empty and no one seemed to notice until we requested more water. We are on vacation and only have a few weeks per year to enjoy, so we expect each meal to be special and of a high standard. While we are willing to pay for quality, we were disappointed by the lack of service we received this evening. As frequent travelers, we have never encountered such poor service. The waitress working tonight should not be in a customer-facing role if she is not passionate about her job. Our evening was ruined by the disrespectful treatment we received. We always treat restaurant staff with respect and kindness, and expect the same in return. Tonight's experience was the worst we have ever had in all our years of dining out.
The menu here is very minimal, the service is very slow(even when its not busy)We had half our meal eaten and i had to ask for the wine a second time and they seem very short staffed.
After checking in to Mt. Juliet we didn't want to leave the ground so we ate at the Presidents Bar Restaurant. The tables are situated close to one another, but the food and service was good.
