The frustrating part is there is no help finding a table answering a question or getting a drink. The staff clearly were not trained how to wait on tables. Tables were filled with dirty plates and glasses. No enough staff to clear. It’s not the staff’s fault. The musicians were excellent. Lively, fun, engaging. Stopped at 10:30 Friday in September
We visited Danny Mann’s after reading other reviews. It is off the crazy busy aKillarney main streets but was lovely. Our group had the fish and chips, lamb shank, and the beef and Gluiness casserole. All were delicious. Added bonus was the music started at 8:30. Staff were super efficient and very attentive.
Great food and music. Brandon was a great bartender, very friendly and knowledgeable about Killarney town.
My daughters and I ate here on our first night out in Killarney. We were very hungry because we had spend the day biking around Killarney National Park (which I also recommend). We didn't realize that many of the restaurants required reservations. Luckily, we were promptly seated at Danny Mann's. They had an extensive menu to chose from. I had the duck leg that was served with red cabbage and mashed potatoes. It was quite a treat. I have German heritage and this reminded me of meals I have had at German Restaurants in Milwaukee where I'm from. My daughter chose the beef stew and enjoyed it very much. My other daughter had the salmon and loved it. Our server was Aga and she was friendly as well as efficient on a busy night. The only downside of the only downside of the evening was that we could not order cocktails. We had to settle for beer, cider and wine. They did have a good selection to chose from but my daughters had recently turned 21 and they were looking forward to trying every fancy cocktail on the island! By the end of the evening, people were being served cocktails at the large bar and listening to live music. Killarney was one of my favorite stops in Ireland and the meal I had that night was one of the best of our 10 day vacation!
Great seafood chowder and chicken wings. Served with in minutes of ordering. Music was disappointing. Traditional Irish music was advertised but old American classics were delivered, probably to satisfy the large numbers of American patrons.
