We had high hopes for this restaurant as we like to support new businesses, but we were disappointed by the quality of the food. The Hake goujons, which were the special of the day for Eur22, were bland and tasteless. The fish was double cooked, greasy, and stodgy, which was a shame considering it was supposed to be a beautiful piece of fresh fish. It was also disappointing to see that the local pub had a better selection of wine and food than this new restaurant wine bar. The kitchen and front of house staff need to make drastic improvements if they want to survive in this competitive market.

Amazing place. Staff was nice, accommodating, friendly. I will definetely come back here. Relaxing place, perfect for a weekend away. Restaurant was so good, staff so available and smiling, good vegetarian option on the menu as well. Perfect staying.

Loved this place. It's now under new management and l am hoping that in the future it will be pet friendly, as the rooms are shallays off the hotel. I frequently ate here when I was on holidays. I went out of my way to get there to eat ,travelling 40 mins to do so. The cocktails and new ones like the saltee mud slide was delicious . They were very reasonably priced too. I would recommend this hotel for at least a visit while in Welford. You won't regret it. They even have steak nights Monday and Thursday with a bottle of wine.
