Royal Oak - KILMORE

I really do not recommend this place. It seems that the staff there prioritize protecting their own rather than ensuring the safety of their patrons. I experienced this firsthand, even though it was a few years ago, but that doesn't diminish its significance. One night, I was enjoying a quiet drink when an idiot decided to start an unwarranted fight. I did my best to remove myself from the situation, but that just seemed to provoke this person further, even though I was able to escape. I reported the incident to the local police, but they only covered for the staff at the Royal Oak, seemingly to protect this aggressive individual. Since then, I have vowed never to return, and I can't understand why anyone else would want to either, considering that "security" clearly means nothing to the staff at this establishment.

We had a delicious meal of gnocchi in garlic butter sauce in the royal oak. oh and the chicken parma we had visited last was so cheesy, saucy and simply perfectly cooked. love that the salads are so fresh and crisp. we are visited more frequently here for dinner.

Seriously, this is the most amazing meal I've ever had. suppe was heavenly, my scotch (medium rare) was the most amazing piece of meat. finished with a bananenfritter. eat koma! I traveled from frankston and would make the trek at any time for food of this quality!

Staff are amazing, food sensational, great meals, great vibe, this is my local and I’m recommending this great place to all. Thanks for making my Birthday that little bit more special.

Great family atmosphere, food exceptional. Will definetly make this a regular place for lunch.
