Castaways Pub - Kimberling City

Ahoy, friends! While we're in the Orlando of the Ozarks, we enjoy exploring the local scene to uncover hidden gems like this one. I checked out the menu and decided to try the special gyro, which was easily one of the best sandwiches I've had in a long time. They also offer a variety of beers, including PBR. You can't help but love a place that has a pirate hanging at the end of the bar!

Is there a Castaways Pub Playlist?! Seriously. Excellent atmosphere, super friendly staff and the food is delicious. We had the fried mushrooms and WOW. I had the chicken salad and it's worth the price with all the blows it had. Husband's burger was massive and he said it was FANTASTIC. I think we found our new Date Night Spot.

I had one of the best Philly cheesesteaks I've ever tasted at this pub. The live music performer was fantastic and had a great sense of humor. Our waitress was really pleasant and attentive. I definitely recommend this place!

Food was outstanding! Loved the option for grilled mixed veggies for a side. Would have rated a five if we hadn't had to wait 30 minutes (only a handful of people here when we arrived) for our sandwiches.

It doesn't look like much from the outside, but the food was excellent, as was the service. There were several tv's mounted and an enclosed patio plus an outside deck where patrons can see the Kimberling City bridge over Tablerock lake. Will definitely be back!
